Application of Family Nursing Care for Families with Gastritis Health Problems in Rangkah Kidul Village, Sidoarjo
Abstract
Background: Gastritis is a health problem that arises due to inappropriate eating patterns and unhealthy habits. Gastritis is often ignored, causing quite severe complications. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the application of family nursing care to families and family members who suffer from gastritis in Rangkah Kidul Village. Methods: This research is a descriptive research method with a mixed-method approach (qualitative and quantitative research). This research was carried out on 5-7 March 2021 in Rangkah Kidul Village, Sidoarjo District, Sidoarjo Regency. This research was carried out by applying the fostered family according to the case. The sampling technique used is Convenience Sampling by setting inclusion criteria. For the results of the study, it was carried out by analyzing the data on family nursing care that had been carried out. Results: Based on the results of the study, it was found that respondents still did not know specifically about gastritis. This can be seen in the confused expression of the family when asked about Gastritis. With these data, the nursing diagnosis that arises is a knowledge deficit related to the inability of the family to recognize health problems. The implementation of nursing carried out by researchers in the form of establishing a trusting relationship, providing explanations about Gastritis, motivating respondents to live clean and healthy lives, and advocating for the use of the closest health service when experiencing health problems. Conclusion: The application of nursing care carried out for Gastritis sufferers who experienced a nursing diagnosis of knowledge deficit related to the inability of the family to recognize health problems carried out with family assistance and motivate the family to be resolved properly, which was marked by the increased understanding of the respondents towards Gastritis disease.References
